How To Profitably Invest In The Stock Market Using Trend Analysis, Market Timing & Our Best Stock Picks, Market Timing

By Geoff Green | April 9, 2008

You’ll quickly recognize that our best stock picks combined with stock market trend analysis and market timing can generate very nice investing profits - whether you are new to investing in the stock market or a seasoned veteran!

And the best part is that you can profitably invest with little effort on your part.

Depending on your type of investing - aggressive or prudent - this investing web-site has been designed with your needs in mind.

Even if you are a buy and hold investor you’ll benefit by considering our weekly best stock picks for your portfolio.

When there is a change in stock market trend, timing strategy or best stock picks, the subscription page will be updated accordingly.

Here is what you’ll find in the subscription area:

  1. Date of the most recent stock market related update.
  2. The reason for the update.  There is always a week-end market update and frequently there is a need to update our market trend analysis or market timing results mid-week.
  3. A short summary of the confirmed stock market trend.  The market trend will always drive how we invest, we never pay attention to predictions of where the market might be in the future.  You should consider doing the same.
  4. Detailed strategy and recommendations on how to invest profitably using either the aggressive or the prudent investing strategies.
  5. A weekly list of best stock picks for the aggressive portfolio and a weekly list of best stock picks for the prudent portfolio.  Some stocks may be in both lists but each weekly update contains stocks best suited to aggressive and prudent investors.
  6. Weekly updates on the performance of each of our model portfolios, Aggressive Portfolio and the Prudent Portfolio.  Details include trades made the prior week, current holdings, sector percentage of current holdings, number of winners vs losers and much more….

In a bullish environment the list of best stock picks will have a unique combination of:

In a bearish environment and if the recommended strategy is to go short, the list of best stock picks will have a unique combination of:

You may use this information a little differently depending on your stock market investing strategy.  Here are some examples:

Short Term Stock Market Trader (trades daily if necessary)

Use the best stock picks list to enter positions when the individual stock is showing strength (in a bullish market) or weakness (in a bearish market).  Sell when the daily trend shows signs of reversing.  Select your own favorite indicator such as MADC for strength indications.  Always use an automatic exit strategy or stop price to protect your profits.

Intermediate Term Stock Market Trader (trades on a weekly basis)

Both model portfolios are designed to be traded on the intermediate trend.

Use the stock market trend and market timing information in combination with the best stock picks list to enter positions on a Monday.  Review the best stock picks every weekend and if your current positions are not on the list anymore, exit that stock on the following Monday and enter a new position with a stock that is on the list.  Always use an automatic exit strategy or stop price to protect your profits.

Long Term Investor (can adjust portfolio every 6 or 12 months, doesn’t care about stock market timing or trend assessments)

Take long positions from the best stock list and implement an automatic exit strategy or stop price to protect your profits and your portfolio.  If stopped out of any positions you can replace with another selection from the best stock picks list OR wait until 6 or 12 months have expired before adjusting your portfolio.

When your 6 or 12 months are up, review your remaining positions.  If your current stock holdings are not on the best stock picks anymore, exit that stock on the following Monday and enter a new position with a stock that is on the list.

Using our stock market trend analysis, market timing and the list of best stock picks will help you stay on the right side of the market if you enjoy trading or will help ensure you own the best stock picks if you are a long term investor.
